The Story of Persuasive Pen

On December 24, 1998, Modesto Arocha, a native of Cuba and now a U.S. citizen, and Janis Holmberg, a native of Michigan, met online when Janis answered Modesto’s ad for a proofreader of his brochure for his translation business, www.webtra.com. The pair became business partners and constructed www.persuasivepen.com in March 1999. Since then Persuasive Pen has continued to serve U.S. and international students required to write personal essays, MBA essays, and PhD essays; principals of B2B Websites and trade publications; publishers and editors of online and print academic manuscripts and academic journals; and authors of non-fiction, fiction, poetry, and Christian publications. Persuasive Pen offers online tutoring in English for all students and specifically for EFL, ESL, TOEFL students.
